Team Blue Urban/Sci-Fi Figure Shoot Preview

Another gathering of TB members that drew stares from onlookers due to our photoshoot, this time the theme was “Urban/Sci-Fi”, at La Salle’s astroturf.

Will post up my less fail pictures tomorrow, I’m kinda tired now. Til then, some Freedom Gundam.

Anime Fest Asia 08

I still do NOT have all the pictures I would like to have, mainly due to me not pestering my friends properly. It has been almost a week already, so I cannot delay any longer. I’ll make do with some of my fail pictures, and some of Yumeno’s. For more photos, check out SGcafe’s threads. I recommend Hexlord aka Usagi-san’s thread.

I was there with some friends from Granado Espada, and Yumeno. Later we also saw the members of Team Blue, and on both days I saw several of my schoolmates. Judging by the crowds, we can safely assume AFA was a success.

Pictures speak a thousand words, so I shall spam them, and where appropriate, I shall add captions. Yes I am lazy to type a tl;dr chunk of words. I will not post shots of myself, to avoid baiting someone.

AFA Report Preveiw

Well, I was there for both days, and I must say it was fun. I’m still consolidating pictures from a few people, as well as browsing sgcafe’s threads for stuff to steal. Whilst I gather pictures like a hamster on nut-gathering overdrive, you, my readers, will have to make do with this shot of me as Sol *cough*fail*cough*.

Anime Fest Asia 2008

At long last, the Anime Fest Asia 2008 (AFA ‘08 for short) is almost upon us otakus in Singapore. Almost every otaku or semi-otaku I know of are going down, from the Black Mages terrorists members of Team Blue to some of my gamer friends who enjoy anime, and even some of my friends from school are going down.

WRYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY IZ DIZ HAPPENING.

I am referring to several figure releases which have seriously made me consider robbing a bank.

First and foremost, figma Saber Lily by Max Factory.

I actually intended to get the original blue version, but I either suck at sourcing for figures or its really out of stock. Now I am slightly happy that I didn’t really bother going all out to find the standard figma Saber, because this one is over 9000 thousand times nicer.

The catch? This version of Saber only comes bundled with the PS2 game Fate/Unlimited Codes, a 2D fighting game by Capcom featuring F/S N characters. The only thing I can pray for is that someone preorders the game but doesn’t want the figma; then I can force coerce ask him/her to order the SP box instead and I can have my Saber. That, or ask someone to help me preorder it then attempt to resell the game or keep it for when I eventually buy a PS3.

EDIT: Yumeno has agreed to buy the game off me if I get it. A million and one thanks to him Also thanks to Feidamu, who has agreed to help me order it. I love you guys. In a non gay way.

I don’t even watch To-Heart2. When a figure is this faptastic, you don’t need an excuse to buy it, you need an explanation for your friends and relatives who see it displayed in your room.

Last but not least, Super Soniko by Orchid Seed.

As Panther most aptly put it, HNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHH.

Due to financial concerns, I will not be able to afford them all. I’ll probably be restricted to Saber and Tamaki, or just Saber.

Blazblue: Calamity Trigger – A closer look at the characters

With the Japan Arcade and PS3 release so close, I thought I’d bring some info here, from various sauces, about the characters in Arcsystem Works’ upcoming 2D fighter.

Keane’s new album- Dedicated to Death the Kid?

For those who do not know who Keane is, they are an English piano-rock band, which I have been listening to since their first album, Hopes and Fears (IMHO their best album, period). Their second album, Under the Iron Sea featured maybe 3 songs that were actually decent. Their latest album is better than Under the Iron Sea, but still loses to their first album.

Character Elections ‘08

Much like how dudes in A Country are having a major election, I figured I should hold a small one, involving several fictional characters, to be President of uhh… well, President.

Without further ado, let me introduce the candidates, and describe their campaign’s key points briefly.
