OK, so on Saturday I went with Yumeno to the Toys and Comics Convention @ Suntec. I dunno about the other people who went, but I felt it was a waste of my time. There were so many people I couldn’t even stop and take a closer look at the booths. Plus, a la the typical Singaporean style, there were a bunch of random people who we’re probably walking around the convention hall area and decided to come in and take a look simply because there are alot of people there. :/

The main reason I’m meeting up with Yume is to go buy stuff from Artfreind (again) for our Zero cosplay.

On the way to Bras Basah though, we wanted to stop over in Coscafe at CHIJMES – which was another waste of time. Apparently they had staff changes (meaning less pretty girls) and we suspected we’d get our asses kicked if we went in and didn’t buy anything.

Well, I can’t think of much to say now.

Back to school, Thanks for the Memories

Its been a fun three weeks of slacking, and now I’m typing this from the air-conditioned comfort of my Monday morning classroom.

Looking back I guess I goofed off quite abit during the past three weeks, stopping occasionally to squeeze some work into my hectic gaming schedule. I also barely started on my Zero cosplay, which is still in the planning stages. Haven’t made an appointment with the tailor yet, haven’t done my mask… Mainly because I’m too goddamn lazy.

I’m workin’ on it.

Speaking of work… I probably need to get a weekend job. It’ll cut my playtime down to zilch, but I need the extra cash, so if anyone happens to read this and has a job lobang please PM me on MSN (kurosaki120@hotmail.com).

It’s been fun, but nothing lasts forever. The WrathOfGod Faction, one of the top factions in sGE Cervantes, is disbanding this coming Sunday, but the WoGian spirit lives on in the heart of it’s founder, aLKayeL, it’s former and current leaders Catastrophic and Callisto, and it’s core members. I’d like to say thanks to a few people for making my gaming time so fun and full of laughter:

-LunaCrescens a.k.a. Wayne: Thanks for all the lame jokes and help you gave me. Despite all your proclaimations that you didn’t really do anything, you changed the way I played and influenced me the most, and you’re the one I respect one of the most.

-Callisto: Ever since I first stepped into WoG and saw Saturday-PvP-Night-Fever, you got me hooked onto PvP, and I aspired to be as strong as you in terms of equipment and skill. Thanks for all the help, and also I’d like to thank you for giving me a chance to be a Squad Leader during CW, as well as allowing me to chronicle WoG’s progress via the Faction Blog.

MinistryOfLaw a.k.a. Sally: For being our raid-timer, and for all the funny insights into married life you have given us kids in WoG.

You don’t mess with de Zohan.

So… because my mom works in Sony Pictures, I got to go watch the premiere for You Don’t Mess With The Zohan last night Its a really funny show, combining slapstick humor and wordplay to provide a seamless comedy. Well, one can’t expect any less than that from the man himself, Adam Sandler.

The show is about Zohan, who is an Israeli Counter-terrorist. He wishes for a life of peace, and decides to fake his death one day while chasing the notorious Palestinian terrorist known as the Phantom to persue his dream – to be a hair stylist. He renames himself Scrappy Coco after two dogs he shares a crate with on the plane to America and sets out to persue his dreams.

That’s the general storyline. I won’t spoiler the show any further, go watch it!

If you like comedy, go for this show. More so if you’re a fan of Adam Sandler. Be warned though, it’s an NC16 show and as such has several sexual references and some provokative scenes (read: exposed asses aplenty), but overall a lighthearted and funny show.

Yareyare daze.

I’ve been playing around with Photoshop to do digital linearts for my hand-drawn crap drawings. I took a photo of the original workpiece then used Photoshop to put in lines. Took me around 2 days to do this @_@

Its not colored (yet), but this is the thang. Just finished it, by the way. Opinions?

Went to Art Friend with Yumeno yesterday to attempt to find some materials to make Code Geass’ Zero’s mask. Apparently the material we wanted wasn’t stocked in AF, so we headed down to Spotlight on a misguided search for the elusive urethane foam. Apparently nowhere in Spotlight, AF, Daiso OR Carrefour had this urethane foam, thus we had to abandon out search. We managed to get something to cover the urethane; iz a shiny black paper which looks similar to Zero’s mask. We’re still troubleshooting on how to do the freakin’ lens though.

We also bought a “Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion: The Complete” book, which has some screenshots from the anime, as well as original character art and mecha designs. Pretty cool stuff.

OK, I just wanted to comment on one of FLuffee’s videos before he got hit by his throat infection (he’s better now )

If you don’t wanna watch, here’s a breif summary: Three men and one woman decide to film a porno in McDonalds. They went to a corner where the staff couldn’t see them and while customers were around, started to film a porno. It went on for 30 minutes before someone called the cops and the four people got arrested.

Like… what the fuck. Of all places, McDonalds? Couldn’t they have done it in like… THEIR HOME(S)? Apparently they did it to save money. How much money do you save by filming it in public vs in your home? I’m sure you’d save a hell lot more if you did it at home. Plus, you could have saved some time spent in jail and probably some money, cuz I’m sure they were fined.

Another funny thing is, why did it take 30 freakin’ minutes? IMO there are only two reasons (point out some to me if you think of any)

1. The customers in McDonalds were actually enjoying a free show with their meal.

2. The cops didn’t believe the reports.

I think the first one is probably the reason.

I mean, how the hell do you ignore something like that? You could be eating your Big Mac and suddenly there’s moaning. I dunno about you, but I’d definitely lose my appetite. Unless it was some hot… Nah. I’d still lose my appetite.

I know I’d call the cops. Imagine all the kids they could be corrupting. But what if the cops didn’t actually believe the people who were calling in? They’d probably say something like “Hello, police? Yeah uhh, there are some people filming a porno in McDonalds. Its the outlet at…hello? Hello?”

The Beginning of the Death of Tomorrow

Yes, I stole that title from a BLEACH chapter. I only copied it ‘cuz it signifies what’s happening internally in my GE Cervantes Faction, WrathOfGod. Ever since the departure of aLKayeL, it seems like there’s a curse on WoG; more players are leaving, more are less commited to the faction. Partially the problem is with IAH I guess, but then again…

WoG is probably the most friendly bunch of people I will ever meet. The WoGians (yeah, wierd name I know) are probably the reason why I love the game so much. Callisto, our Sandaime Hokage, recently announced that WoG is probably gonna be disbanded. I hope all the core players in WoG will continue to stick together.

Holidays. Too soon?

Well… it DOES feel kinda soon. 7 weeks in school then back to rotting at home… Ok, not exactly rotting. I have assignments to do. I also have to continue watching Code Geass, which for some reason I have stopped. Oh right, GE. LoL.

Before you say I have no life, I actually had to go to school today. But uhh, my group said they didn’t need everyone there so… I get to slack at home, heh.

Tried out Rohan Online today, and I must say it is an OK game, definitely better than Cabal in terms of gameplay, but a huge leap away from GE in terms of graphics. I gave Cabal 1/2 an hour before I uninstalled it, but I spent around 2 hours on Rohan. Maybe the soft physics have something to do with it…

In GE things aren’t looking too good. Stress and the recent problems are totally fucking the faction up. Hope we manage to pull through and stick together…

A New Blog

My Blogspot was, uhh, screwed I guess. Kinda got lazy and stopped updating both my personal and GE blog. So I figure, heck, why not merge the two. So this is my personal-slash-gaming blog now.

I’m not gonna change the blog name and header, so this blog’s gonna be called Keep Yourself Alive. The title is inspired by, whatelse, a game. “Keep Youself Alive” is Sol Badguy’s theme song from the Guilty Gear series.

I’ll try my best to post more often. Watch this space!
